RAUSCH 3

The good news: 8 new song-babies are making it out alive, one a 21-minute “epic” (if you will), not only in the saddest of all keys, but this time doubling down on what “The Pros & Cons of Linear” began with regard to exploiting the minor-major-7 for all its worth…

The opposite of that: Some 20-odd song-souls remain trapped in Song Purgatory, relentlessly climbing over top each other just to get a glimpse of what it would be like to experience the Light of Day.

Truth be told, I so wanted this to be a double album. It really “should” (but as always, what is should) be, based on all the material clamoring for freedom. “Just release singles!” says Everyday Joe (no disrespect if your name is Joe, in fact a previous bandmate so-named remains one of my closest friends). What Everyday Joe may or may not realize is the almighty COST of committing one's life to music (in an era that is, let's say, not so known for embracing the almighty Album); cost in time, cost in what the world refers to as ‘currency.’ It takes a plethora of both - to both bring them to life in the first place, then to feed & keep them clothed. With the music now wrapped for Album 3, I'm doing the best I can to keep it all going forward (while simultaneously working to set up this current release for early '27). If you're reading this, perhaps you are too. Or you're a bot.
